I'm sorry for not getting some pictures up from our London trip or going on for rows and rows of text about what we did and the things we saw while there, but there are other things of importance going on right now.
I think the most of us have heard of the terms number one for urinating and number two for a bowel movement, if not consider yourself schooled on that gem of information.
Doodlebug has gone number two in the potty a couple of times here in the past few days. This is a GIANT deal. She does fine with number one and wears underwear all the time, but has some issues with dropping a deuce and usually demands a diaper for this. She is currently on something to help her along in the number two department, but it's usually all or nothing.
Dropping a deuce, you say? I guess it's a small amount of homeschooling I have going on, deuce also meaning two. It seems to flow off the tongue a little better than, "I need to go number two."
This week the children have been excited to have us back from our trip, but also a little tired and cranky which was to be expected from us playing a lot this week. Doodlebug is extra excited because of her new found freedom she is finding on the potty and the fact that she is going to Sesame Street Live tomorrow with momma. That's right, ladies day with Elmo & Grover.
Today I knew we had a situation brewing with dropping a deuce. The walking on tip-toes, frantic pacing without saying anything, she has no poker face when it comes to this, but this time she just told me she was going to pee in the potty.
Low and behold, after a few minutes and a shriek of excitement, she let it be known to the neighborhood from within the walls of the powder room, "DADDY, I DROPPED A DEUCE AND I'M GOING TO SEE ELMO TOMORROW!" The Little Man went running over clapping on cue, like I had paid him off, and there she was showing off what she described as "a hot dog and meatball".
Outstanding!
So I apologize for those wanting London stuff, but I'll get to it soon. I'm just simply in awe, because I was worried my daughter might not be pooping on a potty until her senior prom.
