Amen to your conspiracy theory. I would add to it that, for whatever twisted reason, the pixies are sent back in to replace the "lost" sticks once it is confirmed that I have purchased a replacement. Of course, this does me little good, as I am hesitant to use the "found" sticks - how can I be sure that they didn't mix mine up with someone else's, while in their possession???

totally agree and funny that you mention it. they're in the same black hole as the pairs of sunglasses i lose every few months and the tiny childrens socks that never make it out of the wash.

I just assume at any given time that I am in vague (the vaguest, really) possession of about two dozen tubes of lip balm and that I will spend the winter months purchasing new tubes at the rate of one every three weeks.

One day I will open a closet door and half a million tubes of lip balm will probably come tumbling out. Some of them may be yours.

i'm addicted to Chapstick.

have had one (black original formula never flavored) on my person everyday since probably 4th grade...

This just in...lost one today.

I think it is great that you are discussing lip products. You are clearly secure in your masculinity or in touch with your femanine side. Either way, good for you!

I have the same problem with disappearing lipsticks. I have feeling it could be the princess that lives with us.

btw... I noticed on your flickr on your sidebar that we did the exact same pumpkin as you did. Cool huh.
